By doing so he could observe and pass judgement silently as he sat on the window ledge. After all, he couldnt trust him not yet. His gaze unwavering Felix remained a statue listening to Maxine explain the vicious tendencies of her slightly mangy cat. The doctor withdrew the hand he had naively stretched out to pet the animal.

Only the light drip of rainwater falling from Charles sodden clothes filled the icy silence that wrapped its fingers around the kitchen. The tall, thin man removed his bowler hat out of courtesy, making a point to flick as much of the water droplets at Morgan as was possible. Morgan glared in return. It was like being at school again. Charles combed his long fingers through his auburn hair, the gaze of his cold green eyes unwavering from where Morgan stood. He smirked challengingly.
